The challenge

Selling construction materials without forcing a phone call

Construcciones Lillo & Gajardo builds homes and projects in the Maule Region and also manufactures SIP panels. Two sides of the business competed for the same conversation, and every quote was assembled by hand.

Quoting was manual work

Every enquiry meant calculating panels, studs and fasteners one by one. A mistake in that maths is expensive in materials and in the build schedule.

The customer has no idea how much they need

Someone planning a home cannot be expected to know how many panels it takes. Asking that before giving a price stops the sale at the first message.

Materials with no visible stock

Without a catalog showing real availability, every sale depended on a call to confirm whether the stock existed and at what price.

The solution

A site that quotes, not just informs

Most construction websites show photos and a contact form. We built one that does the boring part: check stock, calculate materials and deliver an organised quote.

  • Materials catalog with live stock, net prices and a spec sheet per product.
  • Four-step quote flow: materials, project details, floor-plan sketch and submission.
  • On-screen sketch that estimates panels, studs and fasteners from the area drawn.
  • Live summary with area, perimeter and estimated total while the request is built.
  • Project gallery with a page per project and its status (finished or in progress).
  • Coverage and delivery by district, so customers know right away if you reach their site.
  • Custom admin panel to update stock, prices and projects without a developer.
  • Privacy by default: only necessary cookies, no advertising trackers.
Technical stack
  • ASP.NET Core MVC on .NET 10
  • SQL Server with Entity Framework Core
  • Interactive sketch drawn in the browser, material calculation on the server
  • Catalog backed by real stock and inventory control
  • HTTPS with certificate, HSTS and security headers
  • Own server with monitoring and backups

The material calculation does not run in the customer's browser: it is resolved on the server, so the quantity rules are updated in a single place.

The centrepiece

The quote flow, step by step

Four simple screens that replace a multi-day conversation with a form that explains itself.

Step 01

Materials

The customer adds panels, OSB boards or fasteners from the catalog. They can also continue with no materials at all if they only want a build quote.

Step 02

Project details

District, project type and contact data, so the quote arrives with delivery already taken into account.

Step 03

Sketch

Draw the floor plan on screen. The system estimates panels, studs and fasteners, and shows area and perimeter instantly.

Step 04

Review and send

A live summary with the estimated total and delivery. It is submitted and the team receives everything in order, with nothing to retype.

Outcome

What changed for the company

Quotes at any hour

The site takes requests when the office is closed.

Consistent calculation

The quantity take-off comes from the system, not a side spreadsheet.

Stock in plain sight

The catalog shows real availability, not "ask us".

A base for local SEO

Every product and every project has its own indexable page.
